Late Subedar Major Sumera Ram Adhana was a soldier in the British Indian Army who served in both World Wars. He was awarded the Indian Order of Merit (IOM), the Indian Defense Service Medal (IDSM) and the Military Cross (MC) for his bravery during World War II. He later played a role in the integration of princely states into India, working alongside Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
